Scrip

Scrip is a term that means “substitute money”. When you purchase scrip, you’re purchasing prepaid gift cards that are used just like cash. They are the same type of gift certificates/cards that can be purchased at individual businesses. With every purchase, you earn revenue for your child’s band account. You order gift certificates for participating retailers from the Athens Drive Band Boosters at face value and the rebate amount will be credited to your child’s band account. For example, if you purchase $100 worth of gift certificates to Belk, 7% of that purchase ($7) will be credited to your child’s band account. IT’S LIKE GETTING FREE MONEY! A complete list of retailers is available at www.shopwithscrip.com.

Example businesses and rebate amounts: Belks 8%, Dillards 9%, Macys 10%, American Eagle 10%, Aeropostale 10%, Mimis Cafe 8%, Red Lobster 8%, Red Robin 8%, Panera 8%, Barnes and Noble 8%, iTunes 5%, Regal Entertainment 8%, Lands End 15% and L.L Bean 16%. There are several pages of options – something for everyone!!!! You may give the certificates away for gifts (valid across the country) or use them to shop yourself.

Ordering scrip cards is easy and online! Set up your account at www.shopwithscrip.com using the Athens Drive Band Boosters enrollment code. The enrollment code can be found in email communications from the Scrip coordinator or by requesting it from the Scrip coordinator by sending an email to scrip@AthensDriveBand.com. ***Shipping & Handling fees of $8.50 are applied when group orders for physical gift cards are processed. This fee is divided evenly among all families who have ordered. If fewer than 4 families have placed orders for physical gift cards, order schedule may be modified to help keep costs lower for individual families.***
