Dear Athens Drive Band student and parent,
The purpose of this letter is to provide information regarding our 9-9 rehearsal this Saturday.
“MINI-CAMP 9-9”
Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023
8:45am Report to the band room to get the instrument, drill folder, markers, etc.
9:00am Rehearsal at practice field; Parent breakfast
Noon Lunch (on own)
1:30pm Rehearsal at practice field/band room
4:30pm Dinner (on own)
6:00pm Rehearsal in STADIUM
9:00pm Dismissal (at stadium)
Students may eat on campus or leave campus for LUNCH/DINNER. Although there should be sufficient time to “eat out,” please think ahead as to where you might like to dine so that you have enough time to drive safely and eat a decent meal. There is really no problem with hanging out in the band room!
Be sure to have your UNIFORM at school on Saturday as we will be checking the fit for each student. We will be performing in full dress for the football game next Friday and our first competition on Saturday.
WE ARE INVITING ALL FAMILIES AND FRIENDS TO WATCH THE LAST 90 MINUTES OF OUR EVENING REHEARSAL ON SATURDAY IN THE STADIUM (7:30-9pm)! We will perform our entire show just like we are going to do in competition! Please consider coming!
WE ARE WATCHING THE WEATHER! There is a chance that Saturday could be quite rainy. For now, let’s plan on as regular a day as possible. If necessary, we may have to consider an extended rehearsal Monday afternoon since that day is a “teacher workday.” Again, let’s follow our original plan for now. Keep those fingers crossed and prayers coming! Maybe we’ll just stay cloudy and cool 😊
