Each recipient has dedicated hours of time and talent to our band program. From competitions to parades, camp to concerts, these volunteers have gone above and beyond the call of duty! Thank you Shayla, Mark, and Michelle!
Legacy Award
2021 Legacy Award – Jennifer Wakeford
The Legacy Award is a very special award and is NOT given every year. Generally, it is awarded to a band parent who has been part of the program for many years. It is reserved for extraordinary Booster Volunteers who have made an impact on our band program that will carry forward for years to come. This year’s recipient, Jennifer Wakeford, is extremely hard working and has sacrificed much in her dedication to the band program. She has a great intellect, a mind for detail and planning, and a memory we all envy, but most importantly she leads with her heart–always considering the best interests of the band AND individual band families in all she does. She has had 3 boys come through the band programs. She has chaired or co-chaired Student Accounts since 2013 and also chaired the Fruit and Nut fundraiser for at least 4 years. She set up the Car Wash Coupon fundraiser, she has volunteered with almost every fundraising committee we have, and she was the driving force behind our newest fundraiser, the Dewey’s Holiday Store. Thank you, Jennifer, for the many hours of service and dedication to the band!
