Good morning dear Athens Drive Band families,

Here’s what you need to know at this time:

1). Our annual spring band banquet will be held this Sunday, June 2 from 1:30-4:30 in our cafeteria.  Please see email sent from the Banquet committee for instructions on what to bring for lunch.  Every student in our concert bands, winter guard, winter percussion, and jazz ensemble receives recognition, and we have a special send-off for our seniors.  The after concludes with a wonderful slide show recapping the year and honoring our graduates.

2). Marching Band registration is due next Friday, June 7th.  All forms/info is available on our website (athensdriveband.com).  For families carrying large balances, we urge you to communicate directly with our treasurers about setting up a settlement plan.  Provided that you communicate with us, I am most certain that we can work out a plan to keep your son/daughter in our program.  Please know that we really want to help and will keep all contact confidential, but it is only fair to communicate.

3). Graduation is Wednesday, June 12th.  Our Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will be performing.  The graduation ceremony begins at 8:00pm.  All participants will meet at the band room at 6:00pm and will be taken to and from the convention center by activity bus, arriving back at Athens at 10:00pm.
