Hello Band families,
Welcome back or welcome to our new ADHS Band members and families. We have a great season ahead of us and a part of that is keeping our marchers looking their finest! Thank you to all of those who helped fit the entire marching band over 4 days after band camp. Some of the pants/bibs will need to be hemmed or maybe even let out. Please have your student check their uniform bag. If there is a notice attached to their uniform bag then they need to bring them home for hemming. Make sure they check their bags! I have attached the same notice to this email. You can hem the bibs yourself (very easy) or have a professional do it. Uniforms must be returned by September 10.
During the 9 am- 9 pm practice on Sept. 21, we will have all students try on their uniforms for the final check before our first competition on Sept. 28th. We do need some volunteers to help us check all the uniforms and drive kids to and from the practice field. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to volunteer.
You will see on your statement in the next few months a charge for shoes ($45) if ordered during fittings. Students that have shoes from last year need to check them for fit and appearance ASAP. If they need a larger size or replacement due to wear please let me know so I can order them next week. Please have your student bring their shoes from home and place them in their uniform bag immediately.
Please remind your students to be careful with their uniform. If they lose their shoes or gloves they will have to be replaced and their band account will be charged.
ON ANOTHER NOTE:
If your student is planning on attending the NC State Band Day, they will need their complete uniform and shoes. We do not know who has signed up so please contact the uniform committee to let us know.
