Hi Band family! As we get into the heart of our marching band season we wanted to release the sign-up for pit-crew support for our remaining football games and upcoming competitions.
The pit crew is an amazing way to get involved with the band without a large time commitment, and the experience of being at competitions and games and on the field with the students is something you will never forget! Below is the link to sign up. If all of the slots are full, feel free to still show up and help but we would like to get as many people registered in advance as possible. Please note Pit Crew is for both Moms and Dads alike!

Football games: We meet at school at 5 PM and divide into teams to help move equipment to the field and set up power and other requirements for the halftime performance. Immediately after halftime we move all of the equipment back to the band room and field storage and are generally done by the end of the third quarter. If you are not able to be there at 5 PM, feel free to come down and help at halftime.
Competitions: We meet at school in the Senior Lot at the end of the morning rehearsal to load the semi and then travel as a group to the competition site when possible, or you can come to help load and travel to the location on your own. Once the semi arrives, we unload and prep for the band’s arrival and then help move equipment and props (but no props this year!) to the field, as well as onto and off of the field for the performance. After we perform, we help move the equipment back to our designated site and onto the semi for the trip back and generally unload on Sunday afternoons, but exact times and logistics will change each week based on the performance schedule and the travel distance but we will communicate that information the Monday prior to the competition.
