Hello PNC volunteers! I wanted to let you know that the PNC has added new security procedures for all volunteers. As a result it takes a few minutes longer to get into the building and through the new system. (See forwarded message below).

All volunteers need to be inside and signed in at the Volunteer Coordinator room by the assigned “reporting time,” not just pulling into the parking lot to walk over! We’ve had quite a number of folks showing up late recently! Please give yourself plenty of time to park, pass through security, and sign in.

Afternoon to all – due to some recent security changes for the building and also due to a lot of new faces in the organization please adhere to the following changes effective immediately:

Entering the employee entrance you will now be required to go thru the metal detectors at the security entrance. You will also be required to open all bags, bookbags and pocketbooks (hence do not bring anything in the arena that is not needed) as this will slow the process down of entering the building. At this check point all volunteer group members must state their group name to gain entrance. Once past security you will be able to go about the normal check in procedure. Please note these procedures may also effect parking in the Lot C (employee parking lot). The attendant may stop your car and ask for identification, again please give the attendant your group name and he will check against the parking gate list for your entry. Please cooperate and be polite with Security and Parking while going thru these procedures. It may take time to get this practice down so please again show patience. Keep in mind they are only doing their job and what has been requested of them by management. Remember we all play a part in keeping the arena and the area around the arena safe at all times. “ If you see something, say something.” This applies to all of us at all times.
