Dear band members and parents,
As we are beginning our spring semester of classes, I thought it best to send out the schedule of events. Most of the events have not changed since August. Please note that our State Band Contest will be held a week later than previously noted, and at a different venue. The new dates are Tuesday, March 26 for the Wind Ensemble and Wednesday, March 27 for the Symphonic Band. More information about these performances will be sent under separate cover. We also added the Cary Arts Festival at Koka Booth on Sunday, April 28th. Our Wind Ensemble usually performs around 7:00pm that evening. Our Jazz Ensemble performs just a little earlier.
I will also be sending out information in a few weeks regarding a fun performance trip to Busch Gardens, Williamsburg for May 17th-19th. We would be leaving after school on the 17th and returning early Sunday morning. We’ve done this trip many times in the past and it has always been a lot of fun–and it’s open to ALL band members (marching, concert, winter guard, winter percussion).
