Our monthly SCRIP order will be placed Sunday, AUGUST 12th! Please have your order ready by Sunday at midnight. The order should be ready for pick up at drop off or pick up at Band Post-Camp on Thursday, August 16th. Look for me around the band room.
Scrip cards (and grocery cards) are the only band fundraisers that put your everyday spending dollars to work – FREE MONEY!!! This email contains information about the Scrip Program and how it can positively change the balance on your band account. Also attached is a flyer that has information about the SCRIP program and some helpful hints and tips for using the program and placing orders.

WHAT IS SCRIP? Great Lakes Scrip Center offers gift cards to over 700 of the country’s biggest brands, including grocery, department stores, gas stations, restaurants, hotels, home improvement, and more. Just by using Scrip to pay for your normal purchases, you can easily bank money to your student band account. It’s time to put your shopping dollars to work! HOW DOES IT WORK? Scrip cards are regular gifts cards that you purchase at face value. The retailer then gives a rebate, usually between 2%-14% of the face value, directly into YOUR band account. For example, if you purchased a $100 Belk gift card, you pay $100 for the card and have $100 to spend at Belk. Then Belk donates 8% ($8.00) to your band account. Free Money! You will be amazed and astounded at how quickly it adds up simply by spending money “differently” through Scrip.
WHAT TYPE OF GIFT CARDS ARE AVAILABLE? Scrip has three different options for purchasing gift cards. Many companies offer all 3 gift card options but the options available vary by company.
1. Physical Gift Cards: We order these as a Band group once a month. You order these cards online any time during the month then a Band group order is submitted, typically a week before our monthly band parent meetings. You can either pay for your cards at the time of ordering using the PrestoPay service or by delivering a check prior to the group order placement. See below for details on payment methods. You will receive an email about one week in advance of order placement as a reminder. A few days later we receive the group’s gift cards and distribute them to you, usually at the monthly Band Booster meeting. Physical gift cards are great for gifts or for planned (and controlled) spending.
2. ScripNow E-Card: Make purchases online or at a physical store or have a meal at a restaurant but hop over to the Scrip website before you pay. Buy a ScripNow gift card with PrestoPay to use as payment for your purchases. These cards are available for you to use within minutes of purchase.
3. Reload: With re-loadable physical gift cards, you have the flexibility to add money to the gift card anytime using PrestoPay! These gift cards work well for places you regularly shop. Note that not all physical gift cards are reloadable. You will know it’s reloadable if the Reload option is available.

PAYMENT METHODS:
PrestoPay: This is the preferred and easiest method of payment. It is Scrip’s secure service to purchase gift cards by using funds directly from your bank account. Set up PrestoPay from your Scrip account on the www.shopwithscrip.com website.
Check: Make your check out to ADHS Band Boosters and deliver it to Carol before the order date to be included in the monthly order.
CURRENT SPECIALS: In addition to offering great contributions on every day gift cards, Scrip runs specials and flash sales on a regular basis. This means that a retailer’s usual rebate percentage is temporarily increased. For example, The Gap may increase it’s normal rebate of 14% to 18%. Also, a few times a year, Scrip has a ThankScripping Day. This is a day where many, many retailers have increased rebates for that day only. Take advantage of these specials! Even if you don’t “need” anything right now, you can purchase cards ahead of time that you know you will use in the future. Set up your Scrip account so that you receive email alerts for active specials. Check out the “What’s New” tab to see all the recent listings.
