Dear Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band parents and students,

We have just received the times for our STATE BAND CONTEST held at Garner H.S. at the end of March:

Wind Ensemble:  Tuesday, March 26 at 6:50pm

Symphonic Band:  Wednesday, March 27 at 2:00pm

I cannot overstate the importance of these performances.  The ratings awarded are distributed throughout the state and are preserved in our North Carolina band masters association data base.  Like it or not, they provide as concrete a “measuring stick” as to the musical calibre of our program as you can get.  No pressure, right?

These performances are free and open to the public.  Please consider attending–it’s nice to see some friendly faces in the audience:)
