Pit Information
Musical Pit Orchestra is an extracurricular group that works in tandem with the Athens Drive Fine Arts Department to create our annual spring musical. This is the most elite ensemble our high school can offer, with students preparing and performing the exact same music that professional musicians perform for shows on Broadway. While interest is taken into account, membership for this group is done so by invitation only, and normally includes almost exclusively juniors and seniors.

Rehearsals are mostly on Tuesdays/Thursday evenings. Please check the band calendar for full details.
Outside of Rehearsal Preparation
Students in this group should expect to spend considerable time outside of rehearsal practicing and preparing their music. The demands of the music are very high and will not be met by only effort during the scheduled rehearsal times.
