Hello band families! We wanted to send you a quick update regarding band meetings as we head into the holiday season.
There will be no band booster meeting in November. These are pretty quiet days for the band and we do not have a real NEED to meet this month.
Our next booster meeting will be Thursday, December 5th. Time and place still to be determined. As the days get shorter (and maybe the weather will get cooler?), it is more difficult for us to meet outdoors. This may have to be a zoom type meeting but we will avoid that if possible.
The Band Board will meet on Thursday, November 19th. If you have any topics for the board to discuss, please email us at president@athensdriveband.com
A couple notes on Fundraisers:
Our Fruit and Nut Sale is going strong. It’s EASY to participate. Just click here: https://adhsband.fwffb.net to order, or pass along the link to friends and family. The sale ends Friday November 20th.
Our Dewey’s Holiday Store is up and running! We still need people to sign up to work shifts and there are several training sessions coming up. Visit the Athens Drive Band website and click on the ORANGE volunteer sign up button for more information.
We are looking forward to seeing percussion and guard students at rehearsal tomorrow! Hoping that this will be the start of things moving in the right direction for band.
