FAMILIES CAN NOW PAY FOR GIFT CARDS WITH CREDIT CARDS
In addition to linking a bank account (PrestoPay™), families who have access to online payments can choose to pay for gift cards with credit cards.
Important details about this new payment option:
Credit card types: Visa and Mastercard are accepted.
Rebates: The rebate is not impacted—families, and your organization, still earn the same amount. Your organization’s earnings are credited the same way as linked bank account payments.
Purchases: A 2.6% fee is added to a family’s order total each time they pay with a credit card. Your organization does not pay a fee. Credit card payments will be processed immediately.
*Is there a fee to pay with my credit card?
Yes. A 2.6% fee is added to your order total each time you pay using your credit card to help cover the costs of processing online payments.
*How do I add my credit card information to make a purchase?
In your cart at order checkout, select “Credit Card” as your payment type and enter your credit card information. You have the option to securely save your credit card information to your account for future transactions.
*Which credit cards are accepted?
Visa and Mastercard.
*Is my rebate % affected when I pay with my credit card?
No. The rebate % stays the same regardless of the payment method you choose. Your organization’s earnings are credited the same way as linked bank account payments.
*Are my ShopWithScrip transactions secure?
Yes. We require a username and password every time you access our sites, and have an added layer of security with account verification. When you pay for your orders with a linked bank account (PrestoPay™), you enter your personally selected, secure PIN number. All transactions, including payments made with your credit card, use encryption technology to protect your information as it is transmitted.
*What if I want to change or update the credit card information I’ve saved to my account?
You can change your credit card information anytime by going to your cart and selecting “Credit Card.” If you need to update the expiration date on a card, you need to delete the existing card and re-enter it with the new information.
*Can I have multiple payment methods set up and choose how to pay each time I check out?
Yes. You have the option to pick your preferred payment method every time you make a purchase.
*Do I need to set up PrestoPay to use my credit card?
No. If your organization has enabled online payments for families, you can choose to use a linked bank account (PrestoPay), credit card or check each time you place an order. You do not need to have a bank account linked to use a credit card. If you don’t have the option to pay by credit card in your cart, you can ask your coordinator (email@example.com) if this will be an option for your organization.
*What is “Online Payments”?
Online payments refers to the option to pay for your gift cards online, using either a credit card or a linked bank account (PrestoPay). By using online payments you can immediately access your eGift cards and add funds to your reloadable gift cards, from home or on your mobile phone. Your organization needs to enable online payments for families to use these options.
