Dear Band Families,
Your student is about to embark on an exciting and memorable adventure! Band Camp 2024 at NC Wesleyan is a few days away. Please review the following information to ensure your student is ready for camp and arrives on time.
ARRIVAL Sunday, July 28th We encourage staggered arrival times to make sure chaperones and staff have time to spend with all students and guardians during check-in. Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from camp and we strongly encourage parents/guardians are present at check-in. Please report to the Dunn Center on the campus of NC Wesleyan as follows:
Leadership/Seniors – 2:00pm
Juniors – 2:20pm
Sophomores – 2:40pm
Freshman – 3:00pm

CHECK-IN Upon arrival, all band members and guardians will visit a series of stations before receiving their dorm key for move-in. This includes medical, treasurers, and student directory photos. All student account balances should be paid off during check-in. Please see our “fair share” page for more information.
PRACTICE PREVIEW Wednesday, July 31st 6:00-8:30pm You are welcome to join us at our evening rehearsal on Wednesday night on the main field. (you’ll see the tents!) Your camper will not have much time to visit with you during rehearsal or before moving onto our evening activities – but you may get a hello & a hug if you’re lucky! Bring a chair and bug spray and enjoy watching these amazing students work at their craft.
PERFORMANCE & DISMISSAL Friday, August 2nd 7:00pm Students will perform on the main field and will be dismissed at the conclusion. Don’t forget your chair and bug spray! In the event of wet weather, we will move the performance to the Dunn Center. A notification of changes to the venue will be sent out via REMIND. (join parent Remind by texting @2024mbpar to the number 81010)
HELP NEEDED! If you can help our busy (and tired) camp chaperone team clean up after our final meal and closing banquet on Friday, please come to the Dunn Center lobby at 6:00pm. A few extra hands will make all the difference and free up camp volunteers to help prepare students for their special performance. Or please consider staying for a while after the final dismissal to help us load the trucks!

DIRECTIONS
FROM RALEIGH
Take Hwy 64 east to Hwy 301 (look for NC Wesleyan sign near exit). Turn left (north) onto Hwy 301. The campus is approximately 5 miles ahead on the left. Upon turning into the main entrance, take a right and follow the drive around by the dorms and to the Dunn Center. We will have signage up.
