Dear Band Member and Parent,

Competition #5 is the 66th Annual Cary Band Day. Important information about the competition can be found HERE including:

Parking – Please pay special attention to the Parking Details!
Admission – Purchase tickets HERE in advance and save $1 from the price at the gate. Tickets $17 – General Admission. $10 – Students, Military with ID, 65+, and WCPSS Employees.

Keep in mind that WCPSS has a clear bag policy for spectators and students.
Chaperones needed: Want to help out behind the scenes? Sign up HERE. Please remember, only the designated medic chaperones and Band Booster Board presidents will be riding the buses.

Come out and cheer on our amazing students! We all sit together in the stands and show our Athens Drive pride!
Here is the meal/snack schedule for the day. Please make sure your student is prepared for the day based on their schedule.

Morning: Students should eat breakfast before call time
Lunch: Pizza provided by boosters. If your student prefers something different, please have them pack a lunch.
Post-Performance: Students can either pack dinner or purchase food at concessions available at the event.

What to Bring

Packed Dinner/Snacks – Students can either bring a packed dinner or buy concessions.
Water jug
Money for Concessions
Bag for personal items – please follow the WCPSS clear bag policy if your student would like to take their bag into the competition.

1:30pm Load Trailer

2:30pm Break/Changing/Lunch – Pizza

4:00pm Group picture in Jag Stadium in show uniform

4:45pm Meeting in Band Room

5:00pm Departure for Cary High School

5:20pm Check-in Time (restroom upon arrival)

5:45pm Stretches/Visual Warm-ups (Unofficial)

6:30pm Head to Formal Warm-up

6:45pm Official Warm-up Start time

7:30pm Leave for stadium (Pit and Prop leave at 7:25pm)

7:45pm Cary Band Day 2025 Performance

Post performance Change into Show Shirt w/Black Bottoms and Athletic Shoes

8:45pm Watch groups and Eat Concessions/Packed Dinner (All Cary Schools and ASU)

10:05pm Awards Ceremony (4A-6A)

11:00pm Approximate Departure Time

11:20pm Approximate Arrival Time

11:50pm *Approximate Dismissal

 

 

Dismissal times depend on how long Awards last and how quickly students pack up. The expectation is that everyone helps. Please check the Band App and have your notifications on for updates throughout the night.
