We’re excited for our ‘third’ band competition—because the first one got rained out before we even started. Join us at Sanderson  High School for the Capital City Expo 2025 Performance.

Admission – $15 General Admission. 

Keep in mind that WCPSS has a clear bag policy for spectators.

Come out and cheer on our amazing students! We all sit together in the stands and show our Athens Drive pride!

Money for Concessions – Sanderson  has as well as concessions. Students should bring cash and card, as purchase options may vary based on the vendor.

What to Wear

Practice Attire – Comfortable Rehearsal Clothes (Section Shirts if you have them)
Performance Attire – Black Compression wear, black athletic shorts, long black socks, marching shoes
Post Performance Attire – Show Shirt, Black shorts/pants, Athletic Shoes

10:00am        Load Trailer (Guard Start Make-up)

10:15am        Break/Changing/Snack Time

11:15am        Meeting in Band Room (athletic shoes in uniform bag)

11:30am        Departure for Sanderson High School

12:30pm        Stretches/Visual Warm-ups (Unofficial)

1:00pm        Head to Formal Warm-up

1:15pm        Official Warm-up Start time

2:00pm        Gate Time

2:15pm        Capital City Expo 2025 Performance

Postperformance        Change into Show Shirt with Black Bottoms and Athletic Shoes

3:30pm        Watch groups and Eat Concessions

5:45pm        Prelims Awards Ceremony

7:30pm        Finals Performances Begin (Warm-ups dependent on randomly perf. time)

9:30pm        Finals Performances Finish

10:00pm        Approximate Finals Awards Ceremony

11:00pm        Depart for Athens Drive High School

11:30pm        Approximate return, Unload Big Blue

11:55pm        Approximate Dismissal

Dismissal times depend on how long Awards last and how quickly students pack up. The expectation is that everyone helps. Please check the Band App and have your notifications on for updates throughout the night.
